How it works

1. Drop your files in bulk. Drag and drop several invoices at once into the upload area: XML files in UBL and CII formats, or Factur-X PDFs from which the tool extracts the embedded XML.
2. Review the suggested names. For every readable XML or Factur-X file, the tool proposes a standardized name in the format YYYY-MM-DD_Supplier_GrossAmount.ext — for instance 2026-07-15_Dubois-Carpentry_1254.00.xml. Every name remains editable by hand. PDFs whose embedded XML can't be read keep their original name and are clearly flagged.
3. Download. Grab each renamed file individually, or everything at once as a ZIP archive.

Why is this tool free?

Because e-invoicing is becoming mandatory — and well-named files are the first step toward healthy bookkeeping. Since September 1, 2026, every French VAT-registered business must be able to receive electronic invoices; issuing is required from large companies and mid-caps in 2026, then from SMEs, small and micro businesses in 2027. Factur-X, UBL, CII: these files arrive via your accredited platform (PA) and other channels, often with inconsistent names. Why standardize my invoice file names?

A single YYYY-MM-DD_Supplier_GrossAmount format gives you instant chronological sorting, search-by-supplier and duplicate-free filing — useful day to day and in case of an audit.

What happens to a PDF with no readable XML?

If the tool can't extract the embedded XML from a Factur-X PDF, the file keeps its original name and a warning is displayed. Ask your supplier for the XML file or retrieve it through your accredited platform.

Are my files sent anywhere?

No. All processing happens in your browser. No file ever travels to a server and nothing is retained.

Can I edit the suggested names?

Yes. Every suggested name is editable before download: adjust the date, supplier or amount to match your internal conventions.

What is a Factur-X file?
